The Club's summer weekend event at Henley-on-Thames

We hope you can join us for the ever popular Gordon-Keeble Owners Club Weekend Friday 6th to Sunday 8th June 2025, which will of course include our Club AGM.

To take part please email Nick & Zoe Hill (zoenick55@gmail.com) at your earliest convenience - and in any event by the end of January - with confirmation of the type of room required and pay a £75 per person deposit to the Club.

Our accommodation for the event is at The Olde Bell in Hurley SL6 5LX for 2 nights bed & breakfast and on Saturday night we will enjoy a 3 course deluxe menu in a private room (the price includes half a bottle of wine per person and service). They have also agreed to set aside a large gravelled area in their car park for our exclusive use.

We plan to meet at Stonor Park Henley RG9 6HF see Stonor Park and Gardens in Oxfordshire with Tumblestone Hollow on Friday. It is usually closed on a Friday but they are opening it for us and will provide a private tour of the house (lunch will be available for a separate fee). Nothing is arranged for Friday evening however there is a nice menu available in the hotel or there a pub just down the road.

On Saturday after breakfast there is a drive of approximately 20 minutes to visit the Fawley Museum Society near Henley RG9 6JA (www.fawleymuseum.org) where we will have priority parking in front of the museum. The museum was established by the late Sir William McAlpine to house his astonishingly extensive collection of railway memorabilia and there is also a standard gauge railway running through the grounds (steam has been promised!) with no limit on the number of trips that can be taken. His widow, Lady McAlpine, generously opens the museum and railway on a few days each year and we are lucky to have secured space at the first open day of the year. The rest of the day is at leisure - the lovely towns of Henley and Marlow are nearby. The club’s AGM will be at held at 17:00 at the hotel and a three course meal in a private room will follow in the evening.

Sunday will find us at Nuffield Place, the home of the founder of Morris Motors for over 30 years. As it is a National Trust property we have not included the entrance fee for the house & gardens as so many people already belong.

The approximate cost for 2 nights including entrance to both Stonor Park and Fawley Hill per couple depends on the bedroom you prefer:-
Superior room £440
Deluxe room £460
Luxury room £490
A Classic room for single use is £205 per person.

We have booked a limited number of rooms so you are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment. We will need a deposit of £75 per person promptly on booking, preferably by BACS
to the club’s bank account.

Please note we do need to know the numbers for each event as soon as possible even if you only plan to attend a single part we are still happy to accommodate you. We also need to know if you will be attending in a Keeble.
